Ski slopes

 

WITH ITS PLATEAU GEOLOGY IRAN HAS MANY SKI SLOPES.
Among the most interesting we recommend:

 

TOCHAL
Tochal ski resort at 3.750 meters can be reached from Tehran (the capital of Iran) via a 7.500 m long cable car line. There are seven stations and four restaurants along this route, as well as a hotel at 3.545 m where there is snow eight months of the year.
Distance from Tehran: via cable car.

 

DIZIN
Ski slopes with a ski area of 7.5 km.
Distance from Tehran: two hours.

 

SHEMSAHK
Very technical and steep ski slopes.
Distance from Tehran: an hour and a half.

 

AB ALI
Quite simple ski slopes.
Distance from Tehran: two and a half hours.

Note: the 2005 World Grass Skiing Championship was held in Dizin in Iran.
